Luxury Picnic - Terms & Conditions
1. Booking Fee
A 25% booking fee of your total invoice is required within 3 days of receiving the invoice to secure the date. Booking fees are non-refundable.
2. Final Payment
Final payment must be paid at least 14 days before the event date. If the balance is not paid in full by the due date, the order may be cancelled at the discretion of Opulence Events.
3. Postponing
A postponement must be advised in writing via mail or email. We only accept postponement up to 14 days prior to the date of your event. Postponing will encounter a 25% surcharge and we will retain your booking fee to pay the surcharge. A new date will need to be booked.
4. Cancellation/Extreme Circumstances
A cancellation must be advised in writing via mail or email. Cancellation up to 14 days prior to the event date results in 25% of the total invoice amount becoming non-refundable. Cancellation within 14 days of your event date results in 100% of the total invoice amount becoming non-refundable.
5. Damage & Loss
The client is responsible for all losses or damages to any of Opulence Events items. The client agrees to pay full replacement costs for any items that are lost or are considered, solely by Opulence Events, as being irreparably damaged. Any items that are returned with any breakages, cracks, chips, burns, tears, or permanent stains will be charged at full replacement costs.
5.1 Cleaning: If rugs or soft furnishing are stained, a cleaning charge will apply.
5.2 Candles: Hire candles are provided for decorative purposes ONLY and must NOT be lit. If lit and damage is caused to any Opulence Events goods, the client is liable and will be charged for the replacement/repair of the item. Candles can be purchased from Opulence Events for the express purpose of lighting during the event. If lit, and damage is caused to any Opulence Events goods during the hire period, the client is liable and will be charged for the replacement/repair of the item.
6. Insurance & Indemnity
The goods we provide are not insured by Opulence Events Co during the hire period. The client is responsible for all loss or damages to the goods during the hire period. The client accepts full responsibility for the goods and the use thereof and indemnifies Opulence Events from and against all claims for injury to persons and property pursuant to the client's use of the goods.
The client agrees that at no time during the hire period will Opulence Events property/goods be left unattended and that the client (or their representative) will wait at the event venue until a handover of the goods is completed with an Opulence Events team member.
Opulence Events will not be liable for any losses or expenses incurred by the client following the failure to meet delivery dates.
Events - Terms & Conditions
1. Styling Session Fee
A $120 fee applies for a Styling Session. If an event is booked within 10 business days after the styling session, $60.00 will be deducted from the total invoice amount.
2. Payments
2.1 Booking Fee
A 25% booking fee of your total invoice is required within 10 days of receiving the invoice to secure the date. Booking fees are non-refundable.
2.2 Payment Plan
A payment plan will be set up with each client based on their event date. Most payment plans require a monthly payment. However, this depends on the time between the booking date and the event date.
2.3 Final Payment
Final payment must be paid at least 30 days before the event date. If the balance is not paid in full by the due date, the order may be cancelled at the discretion of Opulence Events.
2.4 Cleaning Fee
A cleaning fee for all items (excluding linen) applies based on the number of base place settings and additional items hired. All linen hired incurs a cleaning fee based on number of items. All cleaning costs are outlined in the quote.
3. Postponing
A postponement must be advised in writing via email. We only accept postponements up to 45 days prior to the date of your event. Postponing will encounter a 25% surcharge, and
we will retain your booking fee to pay the surcharge. A new date will need to be booked.
4. Cancellation/Extreme Circumstances
Cancellation must be advised in writing via email. Cancellation up to 45 days prior to the
event date results in 50% of the total invoice amount becoming non-refundable. Cancellation within 45 days of your event date results in 100% of the total invoice amount becoming non-refundable.
5. Damage & Loss
5.1 Responsibility
The Client is responsible for all losses or damages to any of Opulence Events items, irrespective of how the loss or damage occurred during the hire period. By signing the Service Agreement, the Client agrees to pay full replacement costs for any items that are lost or are considered, solely by Opulence Events, as being irreparably damaged.
Any items that are returned with any breakages, cracks, chips, burns, tears, or permanent stains will be charged at full replacement costs. The Client is liable for any damage caused by candles and will be charged for the replacement/repair of the item.
5.2 Credit Card – Authorisation to Charge
A replacement fee for any loss or damage to Opulence Events goods will be charged to the authorised credit card provided by the Client as part of the Service Agreement. The Client’s credit card details are stored securely, as required by law.
Opulence Events will provide details of items that are damaged or broken and confirm the replacement fee that will be charged. Once the replacement fee payment is received by Opulence Events, the details of the credit card held on file will be immediately destroyed.
6. Insurance & Indemnity
The goods provided are not insured by Opulence Events during the hire period. The Client is responsible for all loss or damages to the goods during the hire period. The Client accepts full responsibility for the goods and the use thereof and indemnifies Opulence Events from and against all claims for injury to persons and property pursuant to the Client's use of the goods.
Opulence Events will not be liable for any losses or expenses incurred by the Client following
the failure to meet delivery dates. The Client will indemnify and hold harmless Opulence Events against all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including legal fees and costs arising out of, or related to, the Client’s use of the goods.
7. Liability
The Client will assume all risks and liabilities for, and in respect of, the goods and any damage
to property arising from the Client’s possession, use and storage of the goods.
8. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by the law, Opulence Events disclaims all liability for and does not give any warranties to the Client as to the condition of the goods.
Do It Yourself - Terms & Conditions
1. Hiring of Goods
The hiring of goods is for the dates specified in the Service Agreement and any agreed extension of the period, agreed by both Parties.
The Hirer agrees to return all goods to the address of Opulence Events before the end of the Hire Period. Opulence Events will not refund any fee monies if the Hirer elects to return the goods prior to the end of the Hire Period.
The Hirer agrees to only use the goods for the purpose for which it was designed and not for any
other purpose.
2. Payment for Rental
The Hirer agrees to pay Opulence Events the booking and hire fee as specified in the invoice.
The complete hire fee must be paid to Opulence Events prior to the commencement date of the Hire Period, as outlined in these terms and conditions.
3. Booking Fee & Final Payment
A 50% booking fee of your total invoice amount is required within 3 days of receiving the invoice to secure your booking date. Booking fees are non-refundable.
The final payment of 50% of the total invoice amount must be paid 30 days before the Hire Period starts. If the balance is not paid in full by the due date, the order may be cancelled at the discretion of Opulence Events.
4. Cleaning Fee
The Hirer must ensure all goods are returned in the same state of cleanliness as on commencement date (excluding linens). If goods are not in that state when returned to Opulence Events, the Hirer will pay Opulence Events reasonable costs for cleaning.
The Hirer agrees to pay a cleaning fee for all linen hired, as outlined in the quote provided.

The Hirer accepts full responsibility for the goods and the use thereof and indemnifies Opulence Events from and against all claims for injury to persons and property pursuant to the Hirer's use of the goods.
Opulence Events will not be liable for any losses or expenses incurred by the Hirer following
the failure to meet delivery dates. The Hirer will indemnify and hold harmless Opulence Events against all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including legal fees and costs arising out of, or related to, the Hirer’s use of the goods.
9. Liability
The Hirer will assume all risks and liabilities for and in respect of the goods and any damage to property arising from the Hirer’s possession, use, maintenance and storage of the goods.
